Crisp Julians are hard to come by. This one is a beauty. The contrast between dark and golden hues really sets it off. The subtle touch of blue-green hues adds interest. As always, I love the many details, and my eyes are easily drawn to a long introspective look at the image. I feel as if I were entering into infinity.

For purposes of excellent composition, you have divided it into thirds; however, it would be more interesting and appealing to me if you were to make it asymmetrical. Seek to explore the possibilities of looking at different aspects, from different points of view, with the thought of placing a focal point of interest at the intersection of the thirds both horizontally and vertically. Allow the tension that would result from not perfectly balancing the symmetry of the work, but rather, allowing contrasting parts of the image to balance each other.

Thank you for the positive review and tips, Pat!

I prefer symmetrical over asymmetrical, as you can see from the bulk of my work. I find composing a really good asymmetrical image is quite challenging. I've done a few in Bryce that were so off-the-wall I scrapped them. My 'Mysterious' series, and a hanful of others, are the only asymmetrics I felt didn't slip too far out of the sanity zone, although 'Mysterious 2' still gives me the creeps when I look at it. ;-)
