Sunset with Agaves

Agaves are succulents with large tapering leaves from the base, with a row of thorns along each of two edges. Their juice is very caustic. The juice from the heart is distilled and used to make tequila. These are the dry flower stalks of two different plants.

This was taken on the way back from Parker Canyon Lake.
