For some reason, I overlooked showing you this picture. Sedona, Arizona, and the area around it are known for the gorgeous brilliant red spires and mesas. The color in this has not been enhanced in any way; this is exactly as it came out of the camera. Lighting does have an effect on the brilliance of the color, and this was the perfect day.

I immediately knew where this was taken before I looked at your description as I have been to Sedona before. Such a beautiful place. I definitely want to get back there someday. This is a really nice shot, although for some reason it seems to come up a little blurry for me. I do love the bold colors though, which you have captured well :D

Could be the shot is blurry. I am spoiled by the precision of digital art. I do try to sharpen photographs when they need it, but I have to be careful.

Sedona is a beautiful place. There are a lot of weird ideas there, and the people tend to be interesting. But although I wouldn't want to live there, it's a neat place to visit.

Sometimes I think I have the tendency to oversharpen.

Yes, Sedona is definitely a neat place to visit.

That could be. In real life, the world isn't a very sharp place. I have tried oversharpening, but I don't like the results. ;)

I will almost certainly make more visits to Sedona. I have already been there several times.

That is a good point, that the real world is not a very sharp place. Lines and shapes and colors blend and mix all of the time.

Exactly. If you make them too sharp, they don't look natural.

I totally agree, although I make that mistake often.

I do sometimes, too! And after the precision of Terragen and various fractal programs, all photographs seem fuzzy to me! :(

Interesting place... great shot, I love colors too. :)

This is one photo I'm more happy with. Sedona's rocks aren't always easy to photograph.
