Mountains with Agave

The Boyce-Thompson Arboretum is located close to Superior, Arizona. Directly behind the arboretum are these gorgeous mountains. They make a good background for scenic shots with flowers. The head of the flower stalk on the left belongs to a species of Agave. It has buds, and will be in bloom in just a couple of days. You can see a few saguaro cacti on the slopes of the mountains, in the distance.
